VHS Video Formats: NTSC, PAL or SECAM--Which one do you have?

What a bummer! Just when you found the video you were looking for, you discover it won't play in your machine. Different parts of the world use different formats for videos. All videos sold through our store are in NTSC format, used mostly in North America, Japan and Taiwan. PAL format is used across most of Europe, Australia and New Zealand. A third format, called SECAM is used mostly in France and French colonies. For our European customers we may be able to special order PAL format. Please send an e-mail to us through our E-mail Contact Page to inquire. If you plan to purchase many videos from North America, then it is advisable to invest in a dual-format player, or just buy a second VCR to play the other format.
